I can't imagine how much crap he'd get for his defense in Toronto. He'd become the NHL's worst D-Man in everyone's eyes.

While I agree that the Leafs' signings are quite the dog's breakfast, I think even Bloatsie can agree that last year's 4th line was so effing atrocious, the Leafs have improved in that department.

The D is still sub-par, I'm afraid.

I know he is old and battered, but Robidas was a good risk....a big improvement back there if he can stay healthy.
Haven't seen enough of Polak to make a fair assessment, but I will probably enjoy his brand of hockey more than that of gunnarsson
I think they have at least a couple Marlies who could make the cut and be an improvement over last years ensemble.
Rielly and Gardiner should both be a better, more experienced duo.
Not to mention a huge improvement in overall team defense should help the d.
