Hockey people need to do both these days, or fall behind.
The problem is the so called hockey fans, and some members of the media, who skip watching the games, then quote advanced stats as the only way to evaluate players. - The Shrike
Yeah. I hate both extremes. It's crazy to me that people totally dismiss the value of the stats, as much as it bothers me when people use only those stats to decide a player's worth.
Like how ten games into the season Travis Moen had one of the top Corsi's of the year and some people were trying to convince me he had 'turned it around' |

You post that like it happens everyday. A lot of circumstances swung in Dallas' favour for Nill to acquire those players, and even still every G.M. should respect the difficulty of bringing in who he did. - BetterCallSaul
Still its been done.

IN '94, if you were the team at the bottom, and there was a faceoff in your end on the left dot, you could pull your goalie at the right time so that he would skate through the faceoff circle and bump the opposing centre just as the puck was dropped so that you would always win the faceoff.
Good times. |

I feel like since nobody has ever seen Kontiola play, we should be projecting him on our 2nd line.

Did your mom call you in when dinner was ready?
I hope you weren't a jerkwad and took your net with you - the polite thing to do is let the game finish, as long as the guys agree to put the net back on your porch when they are done with it. |

So we give up the most fkn shots in the NHL's history last season, and the answer is to sign an abundance of forwards. But roll with the same defence essentially. |

We had this little turd that did that every time he got called in to do homework. Grabbed his net and went home. Had to take turns with attacks on the remaining net. |
