You do realize if the leafs get Kane...which they wont...but if they do....Kadri is going the other way.
Reimer and Franson.....arent going to do it. - Fakepartofme
They won't get him so it doesn't even matter, but if they did I'm hoping for
reimer + franson + Ashton + 3rd?
A steal, no doubt.. I'm hoping Chevy has lost his mind ...more.

lol, experts dont necessarily write this stuff on HockeysFutures.
Most of this crap is from people who are in their early 20s trying to get gigs writing and scouting - jbold
Yup. Some even as young as 18-19 My buddy Rory was doing that when he was just out of high school. |

Why Kadri? Hasn't he produced more? Makes no sense, we have to add to that even? |

Engels thread only thread(maybe not since i'm new) that the majority of the discussion is NOT about hockey...that's what brought me here |

People underrate Holland. Take an experts opinion
http://www.hockeysfuture..../prospects/peter_holland/
a 7.5 is a projected 1st/2nd line center btw. - JVR_42_PK81
His ceiling is more of a 2nd line center.
All these bottom six signings gives the leafs a little depth and wiggle room to make trades at the deadline...either cap dump or to improve. |

On paper, faster, tougher to play against with the speed and more offense. Now we have to see when they lace them up. |
|
|
|
I say he's closer to a 2nd line center ceiling now. But I do think he's done all he can at the AHL level and it's time he gets a real shot at the third line spot. There will be times when kadri struggles or bozak struggles, the PP struggles, I'm sure we'll see Holland up on the top two units. But odds are he'll avg 16 minutes a game, playing the same role that Bolland did last season to start the year. - mykokes
He cant play in The AHL without having to go through waivers anyways. He will get a chance to play in the bottom 9. |

Holy crap,
That guy on Ek's thread last week was right about the Leafs signing Winnik.
I think he claimed he was there when it happened. I think he might have been telling the truth.

He's 23/24 now - time for him to ascend to that ceiling or go sell used cars. |

Im going to miss Jerry D. But there wouldn't be any room for him this year so I am happy with the trade. |

Reimer is a toss in.
It would be Kadri + going back to the peg for Kane.
Or a one for one.
Either way....Kane doesnt make sense for the leafs...unless Winnipeg takes a bad contract or garbage back.....I dont see them doing that.
Unless the Leafs believe Holland can replace Kadri. |

That's how I see it, and I'm happy that there's competition for those bottom six spots with real NHLers fighting for roles. Rather quietly there are like 8 new faces in that locker room. Culture change. |

there's a rule of thumb that we, as fans, should follow when we "propose" trades. if our team is getting the best player in the deal, the proposal is terrible. |
