there is also a theory that you got to toss a kid in the water and let them learn to swim

just cause holzer sank doesnt mean everyone will

- Dozzer

Holzer was playing on our top pairing. TOP PAIRING.

He probably would've been fine as 6/7 guy.

relax on the RC hate. People forget he changed the culture of this team the first season. They competed against top teams and kicked the poop out of others. He brought in this "Tough" attitude, and we were hard to play against.

He made some questionable lineup calls last season, but I have faith in him

- jbold

The toughness came for half a season where not many teams in the east had enforcers for them to fight, they basically picked on middle weights, they didn't play any games against tougher western conference teams. I doubt their act would have lasted a full 82 game season. They had no impact the next season just like I predicted, it was a one trick pony for half a season.

I have to wait for confirmation, I'm not going to make it public but will get him off the threads with his Leaf trolling account.

Please. They had no impact the next season because we got softer.

We lost Fraser, Macarthur(Who had grit) and dare I say Grabovski.

Frattin was also traded.

We got softer, and brought in guys like Raymond and Reilly (Not complaining, he just isnt physical).

Bolland was injured for most of the season, and Clarkson was utter crap.

After doing some tracking, I believe he is a regular on EE thread (alt), a habs fan that is trolling Leaf threads and EK threads to get a rise out of you guys.

I'm going to put a stop to it once I confirm my suspicions.

- LeafMan

Yeah that would make sense. He reminds me of Skalapy a bit.

A public execution will help us all achieve some measure of closure. Think of the victims!

I think the drive to compete for jobs will be at a level we've been promised for years, since Burke days, even if only the bottom 6.

Let's also not forget that the recent cup-winning teams have iced very good lines of skaters on their 3rd and 4th lines: LA, Boston, Chicago all have a bottom 6 that can contribute on any given night. We haven't had that for a while.

Should be a fun camp/season regardless. Lots of guys with something to prove.

Not sure how much room there will be for Holland, Leivo, or Ashton, but we'll see.

- gravyface

Leivo can use more time..thats no problem. Holland and Ashton are 23 now.. its about the time to find out if they can win jobs over other btm 6 players fighting for spots.

Take Chara, Lucic, Thornton and Boychuk off of the bruins and replace them with softer, smaller versions.

Their not going to be that tough and hard to play against, either.
