HAHAHAHAHAH THAT'S HILARIOUS - Oilers4Life14
Honest question here
why is Kane so highly valued by some? he's done nothing to show he is anything more than a second liner.. it almost seems to me that people think his first name is patrick sometimes.

a-hole maybe, but his production has not really slipped, maybe 1/10th of a point per game in 3 years. He is a 30 goal guy when healthy, so in dealing Kadri, you would exchange one problem for another. - rmull905
Kadri is a problem? Says who?

I'm not sure that was the case in Boston. I think they're still eating their socks over that one. - elcabong
Seguin's contract is one of the better cap friendly ones out there. Definitely wasn't why they traded him. |

It wasn't - if they were desperate for cap space, why take back Loui Eriksson.
The cap issues really came into play this year with Iggy.
It was widely reported that the move was a result of personality issues.

kadri has had issues no doubt (been benched by every coach going back to junior and called out by Eakins, Carlye, Wilson), i'm not the biggest fan of his attitude but he's nowhere near as bad as kane |

I think a lot of people see him as potentially a 40 goal scorer. I kind of see him like James Neal, but with a bit more skill. He needs a great center to focus his goal scoring ability. That's my thoughts at least. |

doubtful. James Neal had 'attitude problems' also.....return was less than stellar and he's young and a 40g man (yes on Pit, but still)
Teams avoid a-hole players like the plague - clark_griswold
Believe it or not, if you play with Crosby/Malkin you're going to put up some impressive points...
Also Hornquvist & Spaling was a decent return... We'll see what happens. |

Unless it's the Olympics. Ziiiiiing!
Not quite as funny because Crosby was somewhat useful this time around. |

yeah i dont see him doing that consistently.. a 30 goal guys sure.. very much like neal
not going to anchor a line but could be a very good complimentary piece
personally i find him to be very much like kadri.. good.. second line player with defensive issues.

The equivalent of Lupul and Franson. And we've seen how that offer would go over with the brains in here.

A washed Olli Jokinen is his most common linemate over the past 2 seasons at 5v5. Specifically last year, the most common guys he played with were Scheifele, Jokinen, Setoguchi and Frolik.
What would you suggest his numbers would look like playing with Kessel instead?
What about JVR away from Kessel and with Jokinen/Scheifele/Setoguchi/Frolik.
Honest question, assuming both play 82 games.
I say this because most Leafs fans consider JVR to be a 1st liner. |

Kadri vs. Kane debates.. GO! - YzermanIsTheMan
Id pick kadri over kane because one hes a center, two he has better point productions, three centers are valued more than wingers |

All Leaf fans say JVR is a first liner. For a very simple reason which I'll let you figure you. |

Yes. Yes. and Yes.
Give me Neal - Kadri - Kane for a second line anyday. |

I would put JVR on the top line in most of the NHL teams. Great hands, speed, not bad two-way, natural goal scorer and good hockey IQ with some room to grow too. |

WPG's got Little-Scheifele-Perreault down the middle. Don't see why they'd need Kadri |

fringe
top 6 certainly but he's like Kane.. complimentary piece
who netted the flyers Luke Schenn
thats why the suggestions of reimer franson kadri and a pick are way way high imo

Hmm. I'd say 25 goals, maybe 20-30 assists on the Jets. |
