The Leafs are not deep enough at C to trade a guy like Kadri unless another C is coming back. Period. Nice player (Kane), doesn't fit the roster for this stage of team development.

I just can't see a trade that works... Leafs would need to ditch salary, and I don't think 'peg wants to take on any of what the Leafs would need to dump. Would probably have to include Lupul. Plus, I don't think the Leafs want to trade Kadri without getting a 2nd C in return.

Hopefully...I'd use the Kadri chip for a player that addresses another team need before a questionable character guy like Kane. A top 3 Dman preferably.
