I think it's more that the leafs are higher up with holland than kadri. I think they want holland in that future number 2 spot |

Naturally anything other than this would be completely unfair.
back to reality, Kadri and Gardiner would do it - Mr_Smokey

Other teams would give similar up or more. A second line Center, a second pair dman and a 1st. For a 1st line power forward. - Iggysbff
Cause everybody is clamouring to get Kane |

Ya think that Evander Kane might be a touch over rated by the children that frequent this site?
19 goals last year? Kadri had more |

Maybe his problem could stem from being on a losing team & prob wants to win? just throwing a suggestion out....
But I do know his personality is a little absurd but that can also contribute to immaturity - Ur Not Me

But all I can say is there is a definite buzz about the Leafs right now that you simply can't get away from. It is a buzz that comes from an almost overwhelming sense that this is a team "not fully cooked." - Eklund

In fairness to Kane he was facing a lot of injury trouble due to one of his giant stacks of cash tearing his rotator cuff while being used to make a long distance call. |

Being on a losing team is no excuse for some of the crap this guy pulls. Winnipeg is wading knee deep in his off-ice stunts. Andrew Ladd doesn't seem to have an issue.
If you're tired of losing maybe be a leader and try to change the culture a little. Instead of causing all this nonsense. He needs to go to a team with a very strong leadership core who won't put up with his poop. |

When put that way, it sounds reasonable and I do think that would be the asking price.
You can make an arguement that Kadri and Kane are comparable. Their NHL PPG numbers are about 2 points difference over an 82 game season. While Kane has a physical edge, it is generally more difficult to find centers. They both have had attitude issues, but Kane's seem quite a bit worse.
Would I trade Kane for Kadri if I was Winnipeg? No.
The fact that there is even a discussion to be had comparing the two means that throwing in Gardiner (arguably the Leafs best D last year) and a 1st, which could easily be a lottery pick in the McDavid draft, is probably quite an overpayment.
Also, when big names move, it seems like the return is never as good as what you would expect.

Comical analogy aside, is it not obvious they aren't done? They sucked a big one last year, and haven't really done anything to get better. I don't even like the Leafs, but I hope for their fans' sake they still have some moves to make. |

No Leafs fans are floating Kane rumours based on what I read...stirring up the hornets nest is being done by the pros. Ever notice there's always Leafs interest in a player but never what what is going back? Based on the success rate of the Ek:Leafs rumours I'd suggest while weeding out the bad ones he try to nab some names heading out for the player he mentions. Just a thought. |
