That's the thing about goaltenders, though. The only fair indicator is save percentage, and even that i flawed based on quality of shots faced.

Save percentage is simplistic, but it applies about as evenly across the board as any stat can. Nothing else we have is more indicative of a goaltender's individual performance.

Not really you have to factor in quality of shots. If you're team gives I'm numerous shots you're Sv percentage goes up, devils were giving up like 20 shots a game he lets in two goals his sv% is 90. No account for quality of shots.

Kadri is a one dimensional centre, has no defence, can't kill a penalty for the life of him and has the body of a teenager that couldn't do anything physical if he wanted to.

I think goalie is the one position where you have to actually watch the guy more so than the stats to see his ability. You can judge a forward/d-man more on stats precisely than a goaltender.

It always blows my mind to look at Brodeur's stats and how obscenely average he was through his entire career.
