skinner's on pace to be better

Gretzky DID at one point try to sign with the Leafs. It was at the tail end of his career, but he was still pretty damn good. I think it was when he ended up with St. Louis or NYR.

The Leafs turned him down. Probably put the money towards Darby Hendrickson or something. Leaf management at it’s finest.

All I have been hearing is that Kane is a terrible personality in the locker room. I have heard nothing bad about JVR's personality. Unless you can pull something up. So at this point Kane has a bad rep and JVR dosnt.

People have made that crap up about Kane, basically based off a photo from Vegas with a wad of cash in hand.

Has there been a single other incident you can think of?

If I had 50 grand in my hands, I'd take a photo like that too.

It always blows my mind to look at Brodeur's stats and how obscenely average he was through his entire career.
- BINGO!

Has the most career wins and shut outs those are pretty good stats.

Have you not read that story? I believe he himself has done interviews on it. F*&king idiots turned him down.

pre-salary cap, why would they do that? Think about it, the number of Leaf jerseys with "GRETZKY" on the back sold would pay for him.

Yes many. A whole bunch of restaurant and bar complaints. An assault charge in Vancouver. There is way more to it than one photo...

What about his GAA? You ve shown 1 stat. Which in his defence if you see very low shot totals letting in a goal hurts more against it. Similar to Bernier being high due to numerous shots as well.

From some Vancouver guy he's known for years.

Have you ever spoken to a Canucks fan? Gonna go out on a limb and say it was probably justified.

That's the thing about goaltenders, though. The only fair indicator is save percentage, and even that i flawed based on quality of shots faced.

Save percentage is simplistic, but it applies about as evenly across the board as any stat can. Nothing else we have is more indicative of a goaltender's individual performance.
