There is no way JVR goes the other way in a Kane deal. JVR's contract is much better. He is a much better character is the locker room, Big player with speed and hands are hard to come by. Also his point a game in the playoffs overmatch Kanes o points in 0 games. - JVR_42_PK81
A) his contract is not much better. it's better. that's it. he's also closer to UFA status than Kane.
B) you have absolutely no idea what kind of character JVR is in the room.
C) Kane is also big, can skate and has hands.
D) JVR has 22 points in 46 PO games. that's not PPG. that's less than 0.5 ppg.
JVR is a really solid player. i'm not even saying a JVR-Kane swap makes sense. i'm just illustrating that the two players are similar. they're both young power forwards averaging about 0.6 PPG and should be scoring 30 per year. they have very, very similar value in a trade. so everything that you'd expect in return for JVR? that's what Winnipeg would expect for Kane. |

Kane: 0.617 ppg =50.6 points per season
Kadri: 0.638 ppg =56.0 points per season
Skinner: 0.714 ppg =58.5 points per season - BINGO!
Yes Skinner is better than both of them. Whats your point? |

Your under rating Kane way too much and over valuing the Laughs players to much. Reimer's just an over glorified backup. Kadri's a tweener (between a solid 3rd line center and a low end 2nd line center). Reilly and the first are the only ones with any real value.
Kane's a 30 goal scorer and is pretty damn young and still is improving. - Jammerz04
But you see, the interesting thing is, Kadri just put up 50 points. Same draft class.
I like Kane more than Kadri as well, but let’s not pretend there is some big world of difference.

23 of those games he was on the 4th line... - JVR_42_PK81
Oh so if you exclude 50% of his playoff games than he's..... wait... no, he still only has 22 points. |

I compare because they're all about the same age.
And because (frank) those other two guys. |

All I have been hearing is that Kane is a terrible personality in the locker room. I have heard nothing bad about JVR's personality. Unless you can pull something up. So at this point Kane has a bad rep and JVR dosnt. |

Chippy is not a physical force, it's chippy, like a tiny little terrier. Kadri's -12 last year on a team of mostly + players says his defence hasn't improved. So when you take his 18 PPP off of his 50 total points you get 32 points that affect +/-, it makes that -12 look even worse. Leafs fans love kadri so much he is always the first in any offer they make.
Kadri is overrated because they drafted a kid from the area and they want him to succeed so bad they hype him like mad. Undersized centres with no D are useless in my eyes. They are a filler until you find someone worth while to plug in. Young 30 goal scoring power forwards make GMs drool, Kane's potential is not overrated! - Tagleeandeddy
Chippy helps. The kid draws a lot of penalties.
As much as you'd like to think differently, they produce similar amounts, pretty similar caliber. As far as the player goes, I'd prefer Kane. But it's not that far off. It also helps Kadri is a centre. |

Around the public he has a tarnished image. In the locker room he may be the greatest person there. |

i think the most enlightening point brought up about kane is that he plays on a sh*tty team, if he goes to the leafs it will be slightly less sh*tty |

I don't really have a horse in this race(I actually think Kadri gets underrated due to Leaf hate, but I'm also a fan of Kane's style of play), but here's some interesting stats.
Over the last 2 seasons at 5v5:
Kadri: 0.86 Goals/60mins, 1.26 1st Assists/60mins, 2.45Pts/60mins
Kane: 0.97 Goals/60mins, 0.97 1st Assists/60mins, 2.07Pts/60mins
Kane's top 3 common linemates over that time at ES: Jokinen, Wheeler, Scheifele
Kadri's top 3 common linemates over that time at ES: Lupul, Kulemin, Kessel/Raymond |

Alright everyone,
Here's the best trade proposal for Kane. It wont get better than this!
David Desharnais (.63ppg career, .65ppg for 2013-14)
For Kane (.62ppg career, .65ppg for 2013-14)
They're like identical. Perfect trade for both teams!!!
Oh and DD has a friendlier contract!
Edit: Oh and for the love of god, please understand the sarcasm... |

Found that ironic too, there were plenty of rumours out there with Dion being a problem in Calgary's locker room as well. |

It'd be great. Winnipeg will be able to draw a higher tv audience with a midget on the team. |
