Under the age of 25yo, there's only 16 players that have more points than Kane (22yo)
They include: (the bolds have played more than Kane)
Taylor Hall
Tyler Seguin
John Tavares
Matt Duchene
Steven Stamkos
Drew Doughty
Erik Karlsson
Jordan Eberle
Patrick Kane
Sam Gagner
Jakub Voracek
Logan Couture
Max Pacioretty
David Perron
Wayne Simmonds
Jamie Benn
Pretty good list. Evander Kane is worth a decent return. - l3ig_l2ecl
Yes. and an average season for him at this point is about 55 points. .67ish points per game. |

Those were awesome as a kid. Although I don't think I ever played the game correctly... - l3ig_l2ecl
We played for keeps. Always made my friends little brother cry when we won all his pogs. |

Talking about PPG? Because if so you forgot Kadri has a better PPG. |

Kane plays with mediocre players and was 4th among Jets forwards in PP time per game, 50-55 points in that situation for a 22 year old powerforward with speed is impressive. |

if you're talking about a Kane trade with the Leafs, you're likely looking at someone like JVR going the other way. similar players with similar offensive output. JVR on the better current deal but Kane is the younger player. i'm not sure why people think Kane has such little value. |

Ryder, Halak, and a 2nd actually meant:
Ryder (75points)
Halak (1.121 gaa, .954 s%)
2nd (1st)
Now sure how we never got anything good from that trade proposal.... |

There is no way JVR goes the other way in a Kane deal. JVR's contract is much better. He is a much better character in the locker room, Big player with speed and hands are hard to come by. Also his point a game in the playoffs overmatch Kanes o points in 0 games. |

A year older has nothing to do with it. Kane has played much more games meaning he has had more time to grow. |

And still another year to grow on top of that being a year younger. Its a moot debate anyway Kadri=Kane and we'll bring it back up when they hit 25 and then 30. |

The counter argument I'd be more willing to buy is that Kadri is a center. |

113 points in 177 games for Kadri .64 PPG - JVR_42_PK81
Also, this is exactly what my point was. Kadri averages .02 more points per game than Kane. I'd hardly use that in any argument that he is significantly better than Kane. That averages a difference 1.64 points over an entire 82 game season |
