Exactly. Which is why Lupul's "value" can't be compared to Kane - uf1910
Who knows maybe we will get Lucky and his injury problems will disappear. Like markov. If he plays 70 games this year I will be happy. Id rather have a healthy lupul than a healthy Kane. Just a better guy to have around the locker room. Long term Kane would be better though. Don't get me wrong there. |

Your overrating Kane way too much. - JVR_42_PK81
Your under rating Kane way too much and over valuing the Laughs players to much. Reimer's just an over glorified backup. Kadri's a tweener (between a solid 3rd line center and a low end 2nd line center). Reilly and the first are the only ones with any real value.
Kane's a 30 goal scorer and is pretty damn young and still is improving. |

Can't really argue against anything you said. However, the bolded statement should answer to anyone why Kane has more trade value than Lupul. It's not just about what you are getting today, but also years down the road. Lupul is 29 with 8 years NHL experience and a list of significant injuries from 5 of those years. Kane is 22 with 1 injury to his name, and that injury came from fighting and a gash getting infected.

Kane 19 goals last year? Hurt for 75% of the season.
Kane kills penalties
Kane hits, scores and fights
Kadri is a one dimensional centre, has no defence, can't kill a penalty for the life of him and has the body of a teenager that couldn't do anything physical if he wanted to.
Kane >>>>> Kadri
Keep Kadri, don't want him and don't need him.
Kane will not be traded this offseason, especially not to the leafs. Count on it! |

Don't get rid of Howard. Need someone to help Mrazek get ready to start.
Edit: Franzen, Cleary, Ferraro, McCollum, and one of the Stanley Cup banners for Kane. |

Evander Kane points per game:
2010-2011: 0.589
2011-2012: 0.770
2012-2013: 0.688
2013-2014: 0.651
Looks like last year was about average for him to me. |

I think Kane would be another great young building block for the leafs and would compliment Kadri really well with his driving and physical ability i think that a deal for Kane could be had if the leafs are willing to pay a price similar to maybe a deal like this:
Win: Reimer, Lupul, Ashton, Orr, 2nd in 2015
Tor: Kane, Pavelec (40% retained)
*Good deal for Winnipeg they get a young starter a 60-70 point winger when healthy along with 2 hometown players that's can help strengthen there bottom six along. They get all that along with a very high pick in the 2015 draft |

Mrazek would be just fine without Howard.
I am waiting to see that "bounce back season" from Howie,
just don't have much confidence it will happen
