And Kessel was +23 in Boston his last season. It's a flawed stat. - RogerRoeper
I'll agree it's a skewed stat. Poor team, luck and a few other things play into it for sure. |

By that argument, I guess we can talk about what a stud of a goalie prospect Justin Pogge was. - RogerRoeper
dont both with vantel. always thinks he's right and knows more than everyone here. even when he gets humiliated and clearly proven wrong he still continues to troll. biggest homer on this site. |

Why was he signed? Why does Winnipeg want him? Scraps aren't desirable. - Kinger34
Who says they want him? Ek? No offence but Eks correct predictions come as often as Halleys comet |

If you look back you'll see I said I really like Kessel. He's one of the best offensive players in the league; great shot, great skater, he's exciting to watch.
His defensive game is on par with Ovechkin though, both are great players but one dimensional, he's -45 in his time with the Leafs despite scoring 333 points in five years. Four and a half really with the lockout. - LeftCoaster
Plus minus is more a reflection of the team, his relative Corsi percentages are in the healthy plus category.

What about Reimer, kadri and a 2nd for Kane? - digitalbath
And then who plays 2nd line center for the Leafs. I love how u guys totally undervalue Kadri on this site like he's some scrub. |

For a 21 year-old future superstar.
Burke also added JVR, Phaneuf, Lupul, Gardiner, Bozak in great trades/signings. - RogerRoeper
Roger you're a good man but I disagree with the Kessel trade wholeheartedly
Edm finished with 62 pts and the leafs ended up with 74 with Kessel in the leafs lineup
Conceivably if Kessel was not in the leafs lineup - they may have been challenging for that 1st overall spot
Either 1 of hall or seguin are arguably on par if not better than Kessel as evidenced by this years final scoring tally - they both play in the stronger conference
I would much rather have hall or seguin in a leadership role over kessel
Kessel disappeared over the last 14 games of this past season
- yes Burke made other nice moves - but in rushing the rebuild - he did hurt the leafs |

Why do we have to add so much to get Kane? Kane and Kadri were both drafted in similar spots, and only 1 year difference in age. And Kadri is scoring more than Kane. |

My point exactly. If kadri played for any team other then the Leafs this trade proposal would be ludicrous. On this site every Leaf aside from kessel and jvr are spare parts, yet leafs management continues to prove everyone wrong with the return we get in trades.remember kaberle? Beauchemin?Schenn? All spare parts to these knobs, yet they were no where to be found after the trades were made.

Yeah so with all the spiralling Kane rumors, one has to think that a possible Franson + reimer trade is very plausible. And anyone who thinks Kadri in there too is a moron. Kadri has a 0.75 PPG and Kane has a 0.61 (Albeit more games played). Having them on a line together would be fantastic, and with all of the players now singed to one year contracts, Maybe Joffrey Lupul may be included in that sort of trade, and possibly get Andrew Ladd thrown in too? My 2 cents |

Rask, Howard, Price, Anderson, Quick, Harding, Halak, Elliott, Crawford, F.Andersen, Gibson, Schneider, Bishop, Khudobin, Lundqvist, Fleury, Bobrovsky, Hiller, Niemi, Luuuuuu, Varlamov, Lehtonen, Miller, Smith, Bernier, Holtby, Lehner, Mason (at this point), Ward, Chad Johnson. There. 30. - jerseyleaf

burke mistake was to think the leaf would make the playoff and that pick would been in the 16-21 range and not eyeing the first overall pick.

Here's another good point. Some teams actually have two better goalies than Reimer. |

It started in the lock out shortened season. He's making small strides but has a long way to go.
