Kadri is mentioned in trade ideas because he has value, but moving him would not be a blockbuster, and the Leafs haven't committed to a long contract with him. It's pretty simple, he gets mentioned because who else are you going to include in a hypothetical trade - Kessel, JVR?

It's no different than all the guys on other teams who were part of every trade rumour until they signed a big deal with their teams. Like most of those players, Kadri will likely end up staying in Toronto.

Exactly. I think Kadri is a decent player hang on to him. In fact Kane would look good on his wing, but to get Kane Leafs will have to reach in their prospect bag and not throw out scraps like Reimer.
