Phil Kessel alone has outscored Kane the past few seasons. - RogerRoeper
I forgot about Kessel, I stand corrected, I like his offensive game, but Kane is a proven playoff performer. Kessel, not so much. |

Honestly it is tiring. Your team is better than most everyone gives credit.
But you know what else is (frank)ing tiresome... Every superstar automatically assumed going to Toronto because you guys are the "center of the hockey universe"
It gets really old. - digitalbath
That's the media microscope's fault....and also why those superstars stay clear of Toronto |

THe media drums-that-up to create business really. - RogerRoeper
Partially true, but it's also the fans. Ignoring Stamkos because that's just the most recent. Don't think I've seen in the media once that Babcock may go to Toronto but i read it on HB every other day. |

Well personally I do think Babcock is coming to the Leafs. They will offer him the most money. Stamkos. No. I do not believe he is coming. |

What about Reimer, kadri and a 2nd for Kane? - digitalbath
It would have to be a 1st. WPG won't answer the call otherwise. They want a #1 + top prospect + young top 6 guy in return for Kane. Kadri fills the top 6, Reimer is about equal to a top prospect but the #2 falls short. I doubt TOR moves their #1, so this deal will not work.
More reasonable is something like Reimer for Pavelec + 2nd... |

Stop basing a player's worth on stupid trade rumours. He's outscoring Evander Kane the past two seasons. This matters more.
And please explain how Kadri is "Decent" but Kane is much better. WTF is Kadri outscoring him then? - RogerRoeper
So keep him . Toronto surely needs centres. |

If TO thought Kadri is so great why is he involved every time you hear a TO proposal?
He is a decent player but Kane is much better. Reimer should not be even involved in the Kane deal. That is just a filler player.
The Jets would be a weaker team with that deal and 29 teams would be drooling at the mouth to play a Pavelec Reimer tandem. - VANTEL
Reimer has been training like this, this summer

Tell me how Kadri is decent but Kane is far better?
That must be why you think the price to get Kane is so high. |

you can't seriously be taking a Canuck fan's commentary about who's a number one goaltender - and who isn't....

Too many kadri haters in the leaf circles. He is only going into his second full nhl season and has done pretty good. He can have a little bit of an on ice attitude problem but that trade is for evander kane lol. Kane is a better player right now but I wouldnt trade kadri away and give up on him now. |

Ya ya, but he doesn't score the big one like Kane when the chips are down. I'm sure you know what I mean.
His numbers are pretty vague with such a small sample size. |

Everyone, but my point is many Toronto fans automatically assume if some may be available they must be going to the Leafs. It's just as tiring as when people undervalue the Leafs players. It gets really old. Same thing with let's trade our whole roster for your whole roster? What's the point, it's way more fun to come up with realistic trades. |

I'd keep Kadri over Kane myself. Teams tend to overpay for potential power forwards like Kane which is why many think the price may be high. |

I understand your point. It is valid. I do think in this one instance that Babcock may very well head to the Leafs. |

don't know if the leafs cap situation would allow for Pavelec.
could be 2nd 2015 and 3rd 2016 |

Back at you, not answering my question.
If I was building around players I would take Kane, I don't need to explain why, I like him better. |
