Reimer is not top 30 in sv% or GAA so how is he a #1? Ramo had better stats playing on a way worse team. Reimer is a backup goalie who is now being overpaid. Might get dealt when a team gets a goalie injury as a stop gap.

Quit it with Kari Ramo. He's trash. They had the same sv% last year, and that was Ramo's career best.

He'll probably end up back in the KHL. If he's lucky. Maybe he'd be one of the better goalies in the league, if he played in Denmark.

You failed to mention that Byfuglien is 265 lbs (more like 280lbs really) and hasn't played a real full season since his first year as a Thrasher more than 3 years ago!!!, which was also the last time he had a 20 goal year (other than this year)...

They are the same player buddy...one guy is a bit quicker and can score of the rush (Lupul) and one guy is a heavy shot big body front of the net player (Byf). Neither is the next coming of Cory Perry or Jaimie Benn. Each has their warts and size is the reason Byf is more coveted, but the Jets need help in Goal and on D and the trade helps them in both aspects.

I mean take a look at trades that have really happend with scoring wingers in this age range. I mean James Neal was traded for Hornqvist and Spaling, and dude scored 40 around 2 yrs ago, Spezza went for a package for never beens and a 2nd rd pick....buddy the NHL is full of 20 goal guys....at this point its about filling spots, and the Jets need to fill 3 spots. You have to get real, no one is giving a 1st rd pick for Byf even if it's at the trade deadline and they are desparate, as if they would this trade would have been done last season or by now for sure.

That i doubt but anyhow You do give me arguments, LA's d versus Mtl's which goalie has the best chance in having the better save %? I still respect your opinion, but Carey brought an okay team to the conférence finals. Where did your goalie bring you with a similar caliber team.

Mtl didn't really improve this offseason and Price had to be a world beater to do what he did last season (like most seasons where he had success.) Toronto added a handful of possession guys and shut down D to supress shots on a team was riddled with SA last season. I think Bernier will see an increase when he is facing a more reasonable number of shots per game.
