Put down the cup of Hatorade.

His two-way game has grown, and he's one of the most consistent scorers in the league.

So....JVR + a bunch of scraps for a top line winger and two top 4 Dmen....

I'm sure Winnipeg cant wait to accept...

Based on Tokarski six playoff games? Jumping the gun a bit here.
- Yeti1181

No, I actually see Tokarski as a started in the NHL, like soon. His only problem, Montreal has Price.

Dosent this whole debate-conversation have a little to do with the teams defence andor systems.
Im not a big fan of Reimers but the team hung him out to dry!

- nbboy

Of course - team defence plays a factor
But I read it as which teams 2 man goalie tandem are both better than Reimer

He didn't look out of place in those games for an ahl goalie who hadn't played in weeks -

James was given the reigns when it counted

At this point in time - not many could disagree based on their must recent appearances that tokarski edges out Reimer

What does the future hold - call JoJo

- MTL1

They both played great and lost in a playoff series, what edge are we talking about here.

Since the modern day era of the NHL, 46 years, these teams have never been to so much as a Stanley Cup final. They all suck!!

Toronto Maple Leafs
Arizona Coyotes/Winnipeg Jets
San Jose Sharks
Minnesota Wild
Nashville Predators
Winnipeg Jets/Atlanta Thrashers
Columbus Blue Jackets

It should, but it doesn't. Considering how bad the d has been in the past couple of years, I'm impressed that both Reimer and Bernier didn't post Glenn Healy like stats.

Reimer, Kadri, JVR, Reilly, Nylander, Gardiner and a 1st round pick for Kane and Big Buf might get it done. Toronto may have to add another piece like Bernier.

Lot of people here seem to forget something. We have Reimer signed to a comfortable contract for 2 years. There not going to give him away.We could keep him.

Well Reimer has been a starter in the NHL and yes he had a poop season but still has been a starter and helped a team to the playoffs. I also really like Tokarski but I think you're still jumping the gun in declaring him better.

The jury is still out on whether or not Reimer is a starter. You don't know. Neither do I.

His trade value is very low. That's just the way it is with goalies.

- Atomic Wedgie

Reimer has played 140 NHL games, how long does he get to prove that he's a starter? I understand goalies can take longer to develop but the fact of the matter is he is nothing more than a solid backup at this point. Here are some interesting numbers of goalies with a similar number of games played.

Cory Schneider 143 2.12 .925
Jonas Gustavsson 141 2.91 .900
James Reimer 140 2.85 .914
Sergei Bobrovsky 179 2.46 .919
Devan Dubnyk 173 2.90 .909
Joey MacDonald 133 3.00 .902

Wasn't that long ago that Chicago was on top of that list, with no conceivable end in sight, so you never know what the future will bring.

The three closest in numbers are all starters. What are you trying to prove?
