Honestly im loving the offseason. Bellemare could be another find for the middle grouping like a raffl on the cheap. Hextalls focusing on cleaning the cap sheet for the team to make some real noise in 3 years. This is a long term process trying to identify an elite defender for the club. Agreed. Thus far Hextall has stated a plan and has stuck with it. No deals that saw them ship off picks, stayed out of the insanity of the FA market, didn't eat a ton of cash just to dump Vinny...the long term impact should be a good one

He came because the Flyers could pay him more here than he was getting in the Czech leagues. Prior to that he never had the least interest in coming over .Being friends with Cechmanek was a selling point, but Dopita had been approached several times prior to joining the Flyers.

As Bill wrote in about Bellemare, he was going to join the Blackhawks prior to getting injured after a head shot. He knows he's getting a shot to be a depth guy, not expecting to be handed a top line role.
