Yea he is big now. He also lives in South Carolina so if I do try, it will have to be from a distance.

Shoot 'em some Rangers baby gear through the mail and see if they come back. At least you'll know if you have to make a lot of visits or not.

Are you the board's most senior citizen? I know there are a few guys older than me, but I was only 4 in '68.

This would, however, explain your living in FL.

hahah yea that was my plan. I think my brother gets nervous when I ask him what size clothes is he wearing now.

I think Flyers/Rangers play on black Friday this year? He should be up for the holidays, would be a good time to go to a game.

My Earliest memory of the Flyers comes from names like Trent Klatt, Janne Niinimaa, Petr Svoboda, Shjon Podein, Joel Otto, Craig Darby, Karl Dykhuis, Colin Forbes, Dan Kordic and John Druce.

Being from the Windsor, Ontario and Detroit, Michigan area, Paul Coffey was a big deal for a short time. One of the big one liners here was "We've got Coffey, now all we need is the Cup". After his stint with the Red Wings he went from Hartford to Philadelphia. So I guess you could say I followed Paul Coffey to the Flyers. Of course at the time Eric Lindros and John LeClair were rated 99 and 97 in NHL faceoff 97. John LeClair on the cover of NHL faceoff 98 is the reason why I bought the next game instead of renting it.

The Stanley Cup Final was a pretty big deal at the time. The Legion of Doom were probably at their peak. I didn't want to be like everyone else forced to be fans of The Red Wings, Canadiens or Maple Leafs because their fathers grew up as fans to those teams. I don't come from a Hockey family but I liked the game and I wanted to make up my own mind.

The Flyers were big, tough, they could score, most of the team were Canadian. What wasn't their to like?

I'd say the First round 98 playoffs against Buffalo is a little more clear to me now.

When I was 17 I'd driven through Philadelphia during the summer of 2000 but I'd never stopped in. I should mention I grew up a pretty big Fresh Price fan so the smallest glimpse of the city was a pretty big deal for me at the time.

Although I've never been to a game in Philadelphia I've seen at least 16 games live. Eight in Detroit, Four in Toronto, One in Columbus, Three in London, Ontario for Pre season. The Excitement never gets old.

I've met Bobby Clark in Toronto, John Vanbiesbrooke in Detroit and Ian Laperriere in Columbus. All three were Pinces. Mike Richards was actually nice a enough to nod me a hello when he was coming off the ice from a shift while I was very obnoxiously (while very drunk) banging my hands against the glass during a London Pre Season Game. It really is the little things that matter.

I was there when the Flyers finally beat Detroit in their building for the first time in about 22 years. I was there when Mike Richards scored his first 5 on 3 short handed goal against Toronto. My first game in Toronto ended in a 1-1 tie back in 2002, which is why I'm not really against the shootout. It was kind of a dull first experience but John LeClair scored the only goal, which meant the world to me.

In Toronto for Toronto was the only time I've ever seen Eric Lindros or Mikael Renberg play live, long after the prime of their careers. Lindros did score on us.

A lot of fond memories.

I imagine I'm not. I'm still not comfortable in a car unless it's going at least 10 mph over the speed limit. I hope that doesn't change and I start liking 10 mph under.

My earliest Flyers memory is the second Cup parade.

The first game I remember was in the late 1970's vs the Red Wings. Eddie Giacomin was in goal for them, I remember asking my dad why the Detroit goalie was an old man.

Flyers won 3-0 or 4-0. Also the first time I recalled seeing Wayne Stephenson's orange mask
