Arb would have been only a 1 year ruling as he was set to be a ufa due to him hitting 27 years of age

A team getting him - if he gets traded - doesn't get screwed into having to overpay next summer if he has a good year this year to keep him

Not for a UFA to be...then again Holland did trade Jarnkrok for a rental, gave Quincey, Cleary and Monster raises so who knows.

They only thing that confuses me is they gave him a 500 000 raise. Whether you like him or not he did not deserve a raise after last season.
