I think I get it...some people only see his offensive abilities and see him as a huge asset. While others (including myself) only see his defensive zone play and see him as a liability.
Kinda like the leafs as a whole, sure they can score, but cant keep the puck out of their own net (unless the goalies play like they did in the first 25 games of the year) - LeafsBlueline
And to answer RogerRoeper about why some don't think Leafs will make the playoffs, you are exactly right about goalies playing above their head for the 1st half of the season.
Leafs were being outshot night in night out but kept on winning!! It catched up to them in the second half with the result we all know. |

I wouldn't cast him off but he needs to be played in the right spots - pp - 4 on 4 but I don't believe he will ever be a 1st pairing at least not until he puts some weight on
Get the man some ROIDS - Garnie

Franson to Colorado for Tyson Barrie. - The Shrike
That would be sick. But won't happen |

I can't see Reimer playing for the leafs this year. He will be gone. As for Franson I think he will play it out this season and we will make an assessment on wether we keep him at the trade deadline. - JVR_42_PK81
I thought that as well, but I've changed my mind. |

It was more than the first half though. They were fine until Bernier's injury. At game 72 they were in the playoffs.
Did Bernier play above his head? When he was in L.A, the consensus was he was a future star. Now he's not after posting a .923 save % while facing the most NHL shots? |

I'm not saying Bernier won't be good, I'm saying I don't care who's in nets, you cannot give 40+ shots every night and keep winning for ever. It can work for a while, like Halak did in the playoffs for the Habs a few years ago, but eventually, it doesn't work.
And no, I'm not saying it was Reimer's fault. It would probably have been the same result with Bernier or any other goalie. |

And who knows if they'll give up those amount of shots again. Their bottom 6 forwards on paper are better defensively and possession wise. |

You're right, who knows? Maybe they will, maybe they won't.
So it is normal to have some people saying Leafs won't make the playoffs. Don't you think? |

Wahh! 40+ shots.
Wahh! Gardiner assist blah blah.
Wahh! Hernia collapse blah.
Wahh! Bozak #1 centre yadda yadda
Wahh! Nylander > Sundin ramble on incoherantly.
Same old redundant (frank)ing bullpoop from you (frank)ing twits.
I'm drinking cold beers right (frank)ing meow and playing vidja games... later I'm gonna eat some deep fried goodness whilst watching some new movies I downloaded.
A lot better than arguing for 17+ hours about David Clarkson's buttplug.
