Yeah, that 941 save % was crazy. They'll never get that again. Not sure why more people didn't mention that this time last year when predicting Ottawa as a cup contender. - RogerRoeper
Anderson is poised for a good year though, throughout his career he goes great year, poop year, great year, poop year, last season was a poop year |

Melnyk ends any chance of success in Ottawa. Worst owner in the NHL. - RogerRoeper
Ottawa is going to be brutal for years. I almost feel sorry for the fans...

Melnyk certainly won't think he's worth 7 million. He's goners. |

Nobody should think he's worth that, unless he does something magical next season. I think this season proved he's a top line guy, but not "the guy." Kind of like Vanek, Gaborik, Neal etc. |

I remember so many people said Kessel will leave the Leafs. I always said no chance. The most money is in Toronto. He will sign again and stay.
The most money for Bobby Ryan is definitely anywhere but Ottawa. |

What made Ryan look bad is, right after the Olympic snub and knock from Burke he played terrible. |

To be fair, Burke also said he should have taken Jack Johnson because "Jack would never quit like that." Jack Johnson (frank)ing blows |

doctors won't let them play unless they are ready. period.
regardless, goal tending wasn't the Leafs problem.
i've mentioned this 3 or 4 times, before the Olympics the Leafs scored 4 goals 21 times. after the Olympics just once.
the bottom six didn't eat up enough minutes or contribute anything offensively, so the top 2 lines and the defense were over played.
therefore over tired - the_eye
Sorry but there isn't a single injured NHL player that can't/won't play injured if the team needs him. Regardless of doctors orders. A doctor who'd refuse to clear a player would not have any juicy NHL patients/clients if he went against the teams or players wishes. |
