That would be the ideal rebuild timeline. I think next year will be the first year where we see some improvements in the standings.

Yeah ok, at the beginning when he was just back into the NHL and north american hockey and when he was primarily splitting time with Berra. But once they showed that he was the started the guy was great. I just don't see how people can call Ramo the odd one out and not Ortio when the later has played 9 NHL games his entire career. If you dump Ramo just for the sake of bringing Ortio up it could be a huge mistake, especially if Ortio flops. I think the starting Job is Ramo's to lose not the other way around and until i'm proven wrong I stand by what I said in saying that Ortio is the odd man out.

I really hope Baert comes in flying and gets himself off of our sh!t list this year. I want to see the Baert we were all hoping for after his emergency call up.

It's completely foreign to me having so much depth in our prospect system...I want to see these player play, but where the hell do we put them? We have way to many players clogging up our 6-9 spots where our rookies would need to play

As much as I like what Stajan's done over the last couple years, I think his extension was a mistake as he is in the way of players with higher ceilings that could step in and fill his role now--not to mention in the next year or two.

Hahaha I was just kidding.....it's time to move on.

What we should maybe talk about, and maybe Colin can do a blog on it, is who we could look at from those teams that are pushing or have already pushed beyond the salary cap. PHI, CHI, TBL, BOS- all currently over the cap, WSH, NYR, VAN, LAK and to a lesser extent STL. are all up against it. And most of these teams are still talked about in terms of still looking to add. Not to mention teams like NYI and TOR who seem to be unable to count or are not aware of the # of players needed to fill a roster and keep signing guys.
