Yea I get you don't want a team of guys with purple hair and piercings but come on these are adults. I also doubt the dress code has never had any impact on the cups we have won so either way its a fuss for literally no reason and he has more little rules then the ones mentioned I am sure of it.

I don't think it's much of a fuss either. he lets them grow playoff beards and plenty of guys come in with five oclock shadows so it's not like he has a nazi code about it. just makes the guys know that hockey is their job and be adults about their job.

for the jerseys, i don't know. only thing we could do is speculate. maybe lou wants to be like old hockey teams where they only used low numbers for the team. maybe it's superstition or just being stubborn. i dunno.

Lou was born during WWII, he's old school. Old timers are fussy about this type of bs. It's like in golf where they don't wear shorts even though its hot as (frank) on the course. It is tradition, and Lou has his traditions. I think it is kind of cool. These guys make enough money, they should present themselves as professionals IMO.

Sweet Dude! - I quit six months ago, and am so happy I did, hang in there it sucks but it is totally worth it. Now every time I see someone smoking I am so glad I don't have t deal with that. It will give you extra bucks to buy a sweet new Devils jersey.

Hockey is big The Alaska Aces (ECHL) and the UAA Seawolves games are awesome. Just as cool as an NHL game. I played against Gomez as a kid. He was phenomenal, I never could pin a hit on that little bastard, he was slippery. I actually became a Devils fan when he was drafted, and have been since. I wasn't an NHL fan prior to that, just the Wolves and the Aces.

The outdoors are overrated! Haha but I'm in the Air Force and Alaska is where I'm stationed right now. I've been to a bunch of Aces games already, was pumped when they won the Kelly Cup earlier this year.

I wonder if Cami is butthurt about Lou not letting him wear #13. If I were him, I'd think Lou's number nazism is stupid.

That's not Lou's thing, that's McMullen's thing.
As for the number thing in general (not having players wear numbers over 35), I don't mind it, and players who have to have a certain number strike me as odd anyway. Really this is a similar thing, just instead of the players doing it, the organization is doing it.
