I just think it's premature to say Sekac will make it. None of us know anything about him... that says a lot no ?

i don't really think so. i'm not saying "ya for sure he makes it". i'm saying it's completely up in the air. and i think that's the case because we don't have strong depth on the wing.

Every top FA's from College and Europe have suitors, it's a free pickup with no risk. How many actually make it that first year? And Succeed? Goalies aside who are a complete different animal and insane, how many really make it the next season?

Ballsack is honestly one of the best ever, that's how sad that is.

Illari Filpulla = AHL
Fabian Brunnstrom = Made it, gone, bye
Corban Knight = AHL
Justin Schultz = Made it
Roman Cervenka = Sucked, back to the KHL
DeKeyser = Started AHL
Michael Raffl = 4th line after a few AHL games
Ville Leino = Started AHL
etc.

His KHL numbers aren't very impressive.

I can't for the life of me understand how people put him on the second line with Plekanec.

yeah you could be absolutely right. the only reason i think there's a chance, like i said, is because Montreal is quite weak on the wing. i mean, how good do you have to be to compete with guys like Rene Bourque and Brandon Prust for playing time?

because i think people hope that if Eller/Gal/Gal play together, they would become the second line.

I know, but he is waiver exempt, you'd think starting him the AHL where he would presumably be top dog would make sense, especially since he has never played in NA before.
