Oh thanks man. Why would u apologize to them for anything. It was just a little back and forth discussion

LOL, I got a nice 2 week ban for letting the Rags fans know they will lose in 5 unless they take out Quick or crosscheck Kopitar repeatedly.

Boom Kings in 5. I enjoyed every second of my ban. It was well worth it.

HA, he gets a free pass for everything around here. Letans gets crucified for turnovers, but man Malkin makes some dump plays too.

Everyone wants a top G, Weber on D, and 4 full lines with Hossa talent on the top 6, yet everyone forgets that 87 and 71 take up $20mil.

- sammy87

From what I gather...everyone wants an average goalie for an average price or a top goalie for $5M. Anyone besides the worst players in the league in the bottom 6. Another good top 6 winger with puck skills. And most are fine with the current defense. Seems a little more reasonable

There are actually a bunch of us, especially on here. It's the mass of Eagles fans (whom I hate) that masquerade as Flyers fans that are the issue. However, I think you'll find that it goes both ways, with both Flyers and Pens fans both acting like brats towards each other about the same.

Yes, the top 6 is lateral, but you'll have Bennett another year older and hopefully healthy. Dupuis can play either in the top 6 or bottom 6, that's a nice little piece to have. The bottom-6 is a HUGE improvement, although if you're expecting "grit" from Downie I think you'll be let down. He looked lost for 4 months straight last year.

If they aren't ravaged by injuries like they were last year, this team may catch a few people a but off-guard.

We all know you are really actually a Pens fan at this point. You just can't bring yourself to admit it yet.

As much as I hate the Buckeyes (That '05-'06 Fiestabowl is still one of my worst sporting experiences to date) and Sparty (damn them and their crafty fake field goals) everyone knows that the Wolverines are everything thats wrong with college football.

This proud Spartan grad is united with you in a mutual hatred for all things U-M. Many Flyers fans are just angry...a lot. I get that, because if I had drive the schulkyl every day and had to live across the river for Jersey, I'd be angry too. Wolverine fans are just plain arrogant, and that's much worse.

How's that for generalizing?

Just saw a poll over on pensburgh...Rutherford s approval rating was 20 percent. Wtf. I think he's done an respectable job so far. He must really have this perception of a bumbling old guy...

Hes the lovable Euro who is funny, I don't have a as much as a problem with Malkin as I lead people to believe. I cheer for him and hope he does well, at certain times though he is very frustrating to watch. However I think a lot of that had to do with playing with the sorry excuse of a hockey player James THE REAL DEAL Neal for the last couple of seasons.

He's admitted being somewhat of a fan in the past. Not more than his Flyers fandom, as I understand, but... uh... yeah. End post.

"the fact that Mike Johnston felt the need to fly half way across the world to sell him on his plan tells me there's some sort of unrest there. ".
- buffalofan19

No. He just wants to meet with as many of his players as he can and get to know them as people as well as hockey players. He's going to Russia because the team trainer annually does to work with Malkin and he's just hitching a ride with him (it'll give him a chance to get to know him too).

I think this is a pretty smart thing to do. If anything it will help him know which strings he can pull with who and which ones might best be left alone. Always good knowledge for a coach to have in his pocket.

I saw that too. You were looking at a poll taken when he was first hired. If you scroll down, the new one has him 90/10 in favor or some such.

I have to admit my first reaction to his hiring was !?!?!?!?!. But then I began to realize that nobody would be able to hold such a high profile job as long as he has without knowing what they were doing. So far, I'm impressed with what he has managed to do. I haven't been this anxious to get a season started in some time.
