Why did I read this thread. It's simple none of the Bolts fans are saying there is no way he is going to Toronto, we are giving our opinion that we feel he will stay like Leaf fans say he is going there. No matter what happens he will handle it the right way because he is a good guy. The fact that it is two years away before anything can even begin to happen is the stupidest thing about it and why us Bolts fans hate it because we should be talking about our new Captain leading our promising team to possible great heights.

The speculative questions that were asked to him yesterday shouldn't have been asked but they were and he answered them exactly how he should. We will see what happens followed up with a bunch of talk about his team in Tampa. They ask another question about playing in Toronto and he answers it. He is a good classy kid and did everything he was suppose to with that kind of questioning.

Stamko was quoted as saying he was "pretty happy in Tampa". Not a wild endorsement but not an issue either.

Stamkos will likely get the league max wherever he signs (one year longer if Tampa). If he did move to Toronto, he would be moving to a weaker team but could likely make a lot more outside of hockey with endorsements and be closer to family and friends. He also could help out the province of Ontario by paying a ton of tax.

And Tampa signed Ryan Callahan. same thing.

If he leaves (the non St. Louis way) good luck and god speed to him. We don't have the depth to replace a Stamkos, but we will still be a strong competitive team in the NHL.
