I think Booth will be given a shot at the job among many other players. They'll play young guys, but those young guys will need to earn their ice time and not be awarded a top 6 role based on nothing more than their age. Then again, I can't really think of any young forwards in the Leafs system who, as of today, should be given that job.

MayRay didn't exactly push us into the playoffs. He delivered on the value of last year's contract, but let's not give nucks fans a reason to think we put him on a pedestal or anything.

And you know what else they aren't mentioning?

Nobody in Toronto has called Stamkos a traitor, burned his jersey, booed him every time he returned to Toronto, had the mayor say nasty things about him, or had the Leafs owner post an incredibly female dogy piece about him on the team website.

He won't be a Leaf and I hope that he isn't. The cap hit will sink any chance of this team ever being competitive. The only way to get ahead, is to draft a star player and use the entry level contract and the bridge contract, to keep the cost of being competitive down. An 11 million dollar contract will be a millstone around the neck of this franchise going forward.

I came to brag about my smallie I caught, but I would like to say this about Stammer, he plays baseball and poop with his buddies in TO, he spends his off season hanging with his buddies , when hes not training, dude plays beer league or some poop, I can imagine what his buddies say to him, and hes the man for doing that btw (playing ball with the guys)

dont forget 20 pt man jannick hansen, the best player to never crack 20 goals or 40 pts. the canucks 5th and 6th highest scoring forwards had 29 and 28 points. The majority of their team pulled a Clarkson haha
