you know what i don't get about all these Snet and TSN "OMG Lebron signed in Cleveland Stamkos is coming to Toronto!!!!" articles? it's that none of them--not a single one--make reference to the fact that Lebron was drafted by Cleveland and spent 7 years there earlier in his career. he has spent almost double the amount of time in Cleveland as he has in Miami. are people really just assuming that he would have signed there without having been drafted and playing there for 7 years?

Nobody in Toronto has called Stamkos a traitor, burned his jersey, booed him every time he returned to Toronto, had the mayor say nasty things about him, or had the Leafs owner post an incredibly female dogy piece about him on the team website.

Lindros was roomered to be coming to Toronto at least three years before he came to Toronto.

One summer, my local hockey store put up a Lindros Toronto jersey in the window. I was waiting for my skates to be sharpened, and it was hilarious to see guy after guy run in the store and ask the staff if he had been traded.
