you can the player out of the wussy but you can't take the wussy out of the player. if he doesn't have it, he doesn't have it. doesn't mean he can't be an effective third liner. guys like Radek Bonk and Michal Handzus were ginormous and also ginormous pussies. still good players.
- DoubleDown

Worst use of a phrase ever. He's a kid. As I said in my last comment, his confidence is coming around. If he starts feeling it and gets comfortable pushing people around, the wussy will leave the player.

Maybe. I hope we finish better than bottom 10th in the League, but I'm not holding my breath.

id take a finish in the teens.

i think with our center depth at present, we're in so tough to make playoffs.
aside from mact making a move, which i do think hes trying to do, i actually dont think we're much worse off with arcobello than gags at 2c. especially defensively. which i think is much more vital for that position than offence at present anyway

a successful season in my estimation is in the hunt till the end. or meaningful games in march if you will. it's been awhile....

About 20 goalies in the league had more comparable stats to price than dubnyk and most of them didn't play for LA

this is true.
but for some reason u still chose to only compare scrivens to dubnyk instead of any of the other 19.
very telling id say......

i didnt choose to compare scrivens to price. i retorted that comparing his numbers to dubnyk is a furthur reach than it would be to compare them to dubs last year.
which is true

he did play well for edmonton last year.
his numbers behind an absolutely terrible defence prove it

just saying hes terrible over and over doesnt hold alot of sway with me.

Just saying he's good doesn't prove anything either a 3 GAA and 916% is not that good and nothing better than he's ever posted and yet he was never a starter in toronto

i never actually said those words.

i maintained that he played head and shoulders better than dubnyk did for us last year. which is unequivocally true. the numbers prove it. the numbers also say he was was pretty reasonable for the oilers. even with getting shelled most nights.
this isnt an opinion.

here's one though; i feel i could very safely say we get 5 more wins and 10 more points with him between the pipes from the start as opposed to dubnyks (and a few of labarbera) god awful first few months which basically sank us by middle november

not bad at all considering the defence in front of him.
we also saw the kind of staggering numbers he can put up with a strong defence in front of him and far less grade A scoring opportunities.

i dont think anyone that doesnt have a ton of bias can say that scrivens was 'terrible' last year. cause he flat out wasnt.

you understand how math and averages work right??
---this question is rhetorical, cause it's clear you dont. you think the more games played comment helps your point.

the more time you play the better the chances of bring down your totals to average numbers. it's easier to achieve solid numbers in a 40 games than it is in 15. they dont fluctuate as wildly from game to game in a bigger sample.
think about it. do some research. this is how it works.

jesus man. im not even trying to make you look foolish. you're just doing this to yourself.
