I met a guy at a party who played on the Pens. Won't disclose his name. Said Crosby was a douche but Malkin was a cool guy.

My buddy lived next door to Fernabdo Pisani...that guy was a tool. Totally threw Jussi Markanen under the bus in the summer of '06 and didn't even know anything about rookie camp....I know he wasn't involved but seemed like he could care less. Rubbed me the wrong way.

Back when I lived in the 'toon, Wendel Clark was our neighbour. Great guy....wasn't anything special at that time, however.

I don' are if he's a douche bag. I've got a second hand account of Crosby being a douche bag. You think that means I wouldn't want him on the Flames?

Ya, I think fans expect way to much from these guys. Why should they have to be "on" at all times, they don't owe us anything. They aren't monkeys who need to dance for us when we tell them to.

If a guys great with the fans, then that's awesome. Doesn't mean every NHLer has to go out of his way to impress you and your kids.

Could you imagine being mad at an electrician that did a great job wiring your house because he wasn't super nice to your kids that may have been a pain in his ass? Nobody's perfect, and everyone has an off day.

Agreed. There is z bit too much sensitivity going in here. Iggys gets gets bent out of shape when a player in the middle of a game happens to turn his head in his general direction with a cock-eyed look and gets pissed because he didnt say hello fo his kid. These guys are humans too and have bad days. Maybe youre catching them on those off days or moments.

So shen is Bouma getting signed. IMO he is an important piece going forward. I think as he grows he could pot 10 goals a season. Good speed, decent hands for a bigger guy and of course, truculence.

And one of our best penalty killers (something I think the flames will be doing plenty of this season ) . I've been wondering this as well, you'd think it'll be coming soon now that colborne is signed

I think Bouma could even have more upside than that. He's the kind of guy who's willing to do anything. I could see him turning into a Holmstrom type of player.

He was kne of my favourite players last year. Not likely to e Dr beck.e top 6th but the kind of player that helps win championships. The kind that EDM has been missing for some time.

We are rounding out our top 6 and bottom 6 quite well.

Regher is coming back in a couple of weeks and bringing the cup with him. He's throwing a party for a bunch of his old SK buddies who live in Calgary... one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet!
