I absolutely agree that a team with superb talent but no toughness doesn't win. The current iteration of the Penguins proves that. I'm just saying that in the end a generational talent like that means much more to a team than a tough guy or two. Ultimately there are different ways to build a winner. Chicago is more skill, less toughness. Boston is more toughness, less skill. LA is somewhere right in the middle which is why I think they're the best.

L.a is certainly built for the play off they are Boston with ten times the fire power now that doesn't mean they score more as l.a has had trouble scoring in the season but they are young big and fast I don't think on either of those teams you find a line with two guys under 200 lbs unless you count marchand and krecji but marchabd plays a lot bigger then he is

I wouldn't say it backfired, he's just slow and injury prone. Would you rather have Clarkson?

Hockey aside, I legit don't think he should be playing for the sake of his brain. That amount of concussions/brain damage in a short time gives me the Bob Probert/Derek Boogaard heeby jeebies.

He's cleared to play on opening night, but I really don't think he should be. But everyone start yelling at me and tell me I'm a sensitive wussy, this is the internet after all.

Your not being a wussy at all, it is the internet but you are allowed to be human. I watched the show about Steve Gleason from the Saints and his story about ALS and would not wish that on anyone. It is scary poop man. These guys are paid a lot of money to do what they do, but all the money in the world is not worth going through what he is battling.

I think you're making an excellent point. Concussions are no joke, it's a good thing that the issue has been given the awareness it deserves in recent years, though it's unfortunate that deaths and suicides had to be a primary reason for the emphasis.

I don't think it's reasonable to expect any great production from Clowe. I'm pretty sure that the CBA allows for some type of reduction in salary cap hit should a player sustain a long-term career ending injury. I would hate to see it have to come to that for Clowe though. I just don't think he can get through the year, let alone his contract, without additional injury. It's indeed scary.
