OK but my question is what's the deal with liking the physical brand of hockey the bruins kings and hawks are the only teams to win the cup in the last four years so both formulas clearly work so why is it not OK ? There are physical teams like Winnipeg that suck and soft teams like the oilers and panthers that suck so what is it that you have against being physical ? I love fast paced hockey but I would take a Cam Neely/ Milan lucic/ Wendel Clark player on our team over Gretzky or Crosby every day of the week that's not to say I wouldn't want either gretz or sid on my team but personally I like a mean team that can still play

I hope Camm is half the player a lot of you think he is. And I hope he can stay on the ice. This team already leans heavily on an injury prone Elias.

If Camm can bring the finish that Zajac lacks it should help significantly.

And NJ does need some more toughness. This team has consistently gotten softer on the ice in terms of play the last few seasons. And in DeBoer's system you can't be a lazy wussy. They need to re-establish the physical forecheck.

Of course, having players like Clowe actually on the ice & Volchenkov of 2-3 years ago would've helped but that's not the reality we're starting at.

And say what you want about Boston & LA, but they haven't missed the playoffs the last couple years and have been considered top teams on their respective conferences.

They also managed to find guys who can actually contribute offensively in addition to playing the body.

They're tough to play against. NJ is not. Not physically anyway.

I liked clowe when he was in the line up but I can't help bit fear we are going to end up with a almost five million dollar a year fighter if he can handle that anymore but it was awesome having a guy who can play 15 minutes and fight instead of a guy who can play 3-5

He is still a great two way forward and would be without them and has speed he might not hit 30 goals here but cammy might not either but he seems like a good player who is quiet and goes about his business. Neal I think is a shooter who can throw his weight around but I'm not sure how he is without the puck and in turn would have no use on our team I'm noting saying I would give the moon as he is up there in age and the hawks are going to run into cap issues that's why I think he might be able to be had for a bit below market price. I absolutely agree that a team with superb talent but no toughness doesn't win. The current iteration of the Penguins proves that. I'm just saying that in the end a generational talent like that means much more to a team than a tough guy or two. Ultimately there are different ways to build a winner. Chicago is more skill, less toughness. Boston is more toughness, less skill. LA is somewhere right in the middle which is why I think they're the best.
