if you've never watched an old flyers game with hart calling the broadcast, you really should. 87 game 6 is a great one for that, but i'd look for something even earlier, from the 70s. the hockey will probably be lousy, but gene makes the whole thing entertaining. now i'm reminded of being subjected to coatsey for 2.5 hours a night.

It's better, IMO, to find a random game here & there than the big ones to get a truer sense of his ability to really teach the game and, as MB puts it Sing the PxP.

Some of the bigger moments, such as Clarkie's game 2 OT winner in the 1974 Final, Gene's so excited, he's not always using actual words

he was better in fast times at ridgemont high.

"the network gave it to me."

That's right. Spicoli was amazing. I tried having a pizza delivered to my Summer School geometry class many moons ago..... It didn't go over well.

The Spectrum was so loud on Daigneault's goal, you couldn't even hear him if he was saying anything

The post went something like this....

"Guys tried to rob a bank by yanking the safe door off with a chain and truck, but these guys just used a regular car. The bumper wasn't strong enough, so after they floored it, the bumper ripped off the car. The robbers fled, but left the bumper there. Guess what was still attached to the bumper?"

I thought there honestly was only one answer here: 48 pounds of horseradish and 19 extracted wisdom teeth.

I believe you hang yourself, sir. And you should never give rope to a woman who knows how to tie a noose.

I can't be the only one who hates that it goes "Back to the studio" during intermissions instead of Dorny and "Stop it right there."

My friend played goalie for our soccer team. We played some pretty awful teams, so he wouldn't see much action during those games. He was known for being a bit strange, but he ordered a pizza during the game. No one even noticed he was on the phone. The pizza guy delivered it to him in net. Our coach was pretty angry

it's when he shows up late to mr. hand's class and blames it on the crowd while waiting for food.
