but but, the hockey insider said so!!!!!!!!

hockey's future has the leafs at 20

just because they're published opinions doesnt change the fact they are still just someone's opinion

so the hockeynews sets the rankings and thats the be all end all?

thats ridiculous.. different teams draft for different things.. i bet a ton of teams would LOVE to have toronto's d-man depth

also, the marlies are a constant AHL title threat, always at the top of their division so that tells me more than what a"panel of scouts" think.

and oh wait.. the OHL scoring champ is a leaf prospect too... yeah.. the leafs are in tough

you want to base your opinion on one article in the hockey news go ahead.. but you're gonna get called out for it.

Verhagae (sp.) has some very good potential, along with that Swedish kid johannson (sp.).

Even than their rankings are about as legit as NHL 14.

EA do a solid job; I trust NHL14 significantly more than any old rag that has Ken Campbell writing for it...

It has been a while since we even had some depth, now have to work on the elite. We take what we can get compared to about 5 years ago.

honestly burke may have (frank)ed up a few drafts and whatever else...but our team was SO SO SOOOOOOOOOOO bad when he came to town.

he gave us a few actual top players whether we liked the moves or the players...

phaneuf
kessel
lupul
jvr 4 schenn
gardiner
drafted brown
drafted leivo
grabbed bozak from college

stajan antropov ponikorovski was our fist line

Being a Toronto fan is awesome.

Our best players suck. Kessel is useless. Phaneuf couldn't play on the 3rd pairing on a lot of teams.

But Komarov was the reason we missed the playoffs last year.

You can take over the Kadri role of skating into the goalie! It'll allow him to focus on putting the puck into the net, rather than the goalie

Yeah agreed. No one gives Burke credit. He had NOTHING and put this team in the right direction.

anyone who can skate faster than jason allison
- big_dion

As per my post above:

Jason Allison - 60 points in 66 games.

But he was really slow on one penalty shot.

RUN HIM OUT OF TOWN!!!!!!!!!!!

It's the anger that unites us all.

Why else would they pay him just slightly less than what NYR re-upped the Norwegian Hobbit and his 59pts for?

i think burke did a great job. The 3 you mentioned weren't only terrible, they had terrible cap hits.

it's one writer or is it a group of 17 scouts and NHL gms? it's not the be all end all but it's a credible source. I also watch but i guess i must be wrong.

only time will tell

- clark_griswold

notice that none seem to want to name themselves?

its just opinion.. what if the GM is Garth Snow?

i never said it was. I watch alot of the prospects and the hockey news panel just has access to more info / live viewings of prospects than us.

it's not gospel but it's not a joke either.
