im not that excited, im saying if the leafs acquired booth last year in his UFA year that would have been a lot bigger of a deal that it is now.

we were not signing booth last year for 1.1 million is what im saying...and yeah, its been a lot of injuries for the guy.

none are impact nhlers is my point. For a team that's been so bad for years, you'd think we'd have some better prospects. Reilly is already playing so that's that. But yes none are impact. From watching them in junior and the marlies it's not hard to see.

I think Leivo and granberg should be on the squad next year. Biggs has been terrible. Ross and mckegg are great AHLers.

none should be impact nhlers, they are 19-22 years old and just starting their pro careeer, not everyone is going to be a line 1, #1 D man playing the day they are drafted, thats the problem, you.

people expecting instant NHL all stars out of jr.

reality check, it happens to maybe 1-3 kids per year....MAYBE.

great AHL'ers can be a decent NHL player at some point.

if you get a few 3rd/4th liners out of your 2nd-7th round picks then you are doing well drafting.

What I find most interesting about that story isn't the stats, but the way the Pens decided they needed changes and replaced the GM and coach as opposed to the asst GMs and coaches - very radical thinking.
