Yeah Bernier has to stand on his head again. Which would be great, because I thought he was outstanding this year.
- Zezel

If we even take 5 shots off every game I think he puts up very very good numbers.

had good numbers in limited games however and was a top pick. I see what you are saying though.

Yes but he was also highly sought after for a reason, Reimer we can't seem to get rid of.
- Yeti1181

the part that I dont get is why people want a worse backup...just to see him gone.

If he plays like the same way and that happens, that's probably the single biggest thing they could do.

good read on Mr Dubas and SK in soo

http://www.sportsnet.ca/h...lyle-toronto-maple-leafs/

Interesting part here...which seems like the opposite of a RC system

The biggest revelation, he said, was finding the relative risk of a turnover in the defensive zone by over-handling the puck in their own end was far out-weighed by the benefits of exiting the defensive zone in control of the puck, which in turn allowed the Greyhounds to enter to offensive zone in position to make plays.

Chipping pucks out or rimming them off the glass became taboo. Instead the emphasis was on making as many passes inside their own zone as needed to leave the zone with control.

I have no idea how the season starts for the leafs there are way to many variables.. 36 shots a game again is not really an option..or RC has to go

i think he can be a bottom 20-30 starter in the league. He's not garbage by any means. However, i think it's more people want to free up the cap space to improve in other areas as opposed to dumping reimer. At least that's how i feel

Did last year's group of leaf players go to the front of the net? If that was a weak spot then your team just signed two players that are willing. Problem is they are both susceptible to injury.

If they (Booth and Santo) can stay off the IR then you got yourself two good bottom six players on no-risk contracts.

Please tell me all these new bottom six guys and new coaches and I presume new management telling RC what to do that they can get the PK back to even just average. Even getting it back to average and reducing SA by 5 could get the Leafs back in the playoffs. We know they can score.

From what I saw JVR's gotten pretty good at standing in front of the net and driving the net...but you know when a team crashes and burns like the Leafs did, there's probably not enough guys driving the net.

Yeah if nothing else, the Leafs have taken a bunch of one-off, bargain bin gambles for bottom six guys this year. Here's hoping all these guys play hard, Van fans seemed to like Santo a lot last year.

I really couldn't care, but you're not gonna get him for Franson, Reimer and a 3rd.
