It's hard to even imagine a deal so sub-atomically small that it generates no Leafs vs. Canucks chirping whatsoever. It's one year for a million. Booth could be a healthy scratch all year and it wouldn't even matter. It's all upside for the Leafs. The only one who should be slightly concerned is Carlton the Bear.

Yep. And Raymond was good as a depth guy for one million. The Leafs then moved on, rather than doing a Burkie and thinking that showing 'loyalty' by reupping him would automatically work. Good player, best of luck to him but I don't mind the Leafs bringing in and rotating out cheap depth guys. I say look at Chicago, they locked in core guys, the rest are replaceable for cheaper.
