- JVR_42_PK81

dave? what it about?
- Dozzer

Yes, Dave Bidini.

In a nutshell, it's about Dave Bidini's beer league hockey team playing in a tournament. So each chapter sorta kinda looks at a different aspect of hockey: goalies, injuries, etc. The first half of the chapter is his own experiences, and then the second half of each chapter is anecdotes from ex-NHLers. His anecdotes are funny, but the NHL ones are piss-your-pants funny (I won't blow it, but there's a story about John Brophy and a fan in a wheelchair that is so funny, I literally had to set down the book and leave the room, I was laughing so hard).

But the best part of the book is you realize: the NHL stories are the same as the rec hockey ones.

in the end we're all just people

dave is a funny guy, i remember back stage with him someone came up and asked if he wanted to give an interview.. he said.. no, its martin's turn

martin got up and left before the girl could even ask him anything, it was pretty damn funny her standing there with a stunned look on her face.

Good Grief!

Booth.

- lazy
- no consistency
- good luck ever seeing him in a corner
- puck battles?, WHAT puck battles!
- Actually sent to the FREAKING MINORS this year! THE MINORS!!!
- a social moron with the credibility of a 'surfer dude'
- destroyed the chemistry of the 2nd line.
- not skilled to play the 3rd line.
- no where near a first liner
- average shot, not a sniper
- invisible in the shootout.
- WORTH 1.1 million for a desperate team, I thought the Leafs were beyond that.
- Will get 8 to 12 goals... isn't there anyone on the Farm that could produce the same while building that players experience for the future?
- The Leafs learned nothing from Mat-Ray... in fact Raymond was a much better player -- skilled in the shootout.
- 2013/14 0 Power Play Goals
- 2013/14 0 Game Winning Goals
- 2013/14 0 Short Handed Goals
- 2013/14 9 minor penalties all season.

Vokoun would be a perfect replacement. Good mentor, good backup. Thomas and Brodeur would be good mentors but both are way past there prime. Still would rather pay them at a bargain price than give Reimer to much money to play as a backup. What about Bryz?
- JVR_42_PK81

Vokouns number are good the last couple years but he didn't even play last year due to illness (2ahl games). He's 38, not even sure he's still going to play. Want no part of Marty or Timmy. Bryz? You really want that distraction?

Stamkos pretty quiets the toronto speculation about 2016 for now.

You might be surprised by how little we care about the opinion of a guy who thinks that organizing a movement to show support to Gino Odjick through altering our avatars on Hockeybuzz is an important and worthwhile thing to do.
