Although I agree that Stamkos (today) is not very good, you have forgotten one thing that makes your post completely irrelevant:
The Leafs have exceptional leadership in the dressing room.
One of the reasons why Stamkos wants to come to Toronto is so that Kessel can mentor him.

You still have about a year and a half (I see TB trading him at the trade deadline when it becomes obvious he is going to Toronto - I'm going to miss Carter Ashton, but I support GM Dubas in this trade) before he is here.
I'd put off the renovations on your house, but you may want to sink a little more money into your unicorn farm - you are going to need the extra income to pay for tickets.

Vokoun would be a perfect replacement. Good mentor, good backup. Thomas and Brodeur would be good mentors but both are way past there prime. Still would rather pay them at a bargain price than give Reimer to much money to play as a backup. What about Bryz? |

You all know me as a guy who drinks the Koolaid, and a guy who's mantra is patience with our youth and not rushing to judgement. But I was bored today and looking at the 2011 draft.....
Out of the 30 guys taken in the first round, 20 guys have played NHL games, 19 of which played more than 10. games Out of the 10 guys that haven't seen an NHL rink....2 of them are Leaf picks Stuart Percy and Tyler Biggs......
Now out of the 60 guys taken in the first round and second round.....37 guys have played an NHL game. And we own 2 of the 23 that haven't. That's kind of frustrating.
