everyone forgets that this was the only great year steen had (besides his rookie season). He had a few good years, but it took 11 years from his draft for him to have a very good season. Let's see if he keeps it up.

Not a kadri fan by any means but let's hope he smartens up. He certainly has the talent he just has no brains. Hopefully he has matured

This is all true. It'd be a great story if Steen followed up this year.

Kadri's a real question mark, I agree he's got a lot of work to do, coaching to listen to...he's still tantalizing though, that would be huge for the Leafs if he takes a step forward.

Reimer should get what Bernier makes... they have accomplished about the same so far. Well one hasnt played a full playoff game..but close enough 7 is not much more

He hasn't been very good up until two season ago the rest were crap.

Edit his career he's been 40 to 50 points and is now making just shy of six million after one really good season.

No he shouldn't. Bernier's GAA is much lower. Bernier's save percentage is better.

I have a feeling you are correct.

I would prefer locking up Gardiner long term though, somewhere in the 4-4.5 over 5-6 years. To me it's better than paying him over 5 when he breaks out. It's a tough sell though because if he gets hurt or doesn't fan out, you're basically screwed. But sometimes you have to take the risk, when it works out you end up with a JVR like contract.
