It makes perfect sense. They are RFA meaning they have very little bargaining power. Its what allows team to save money on young players who haven't proven anything yet. Enabling them to fill out the rest of the roster.

Maybe you are the douche for assuming that somebody who has a small window in their life to make a lot of money being a professional athlete and to set themselves and their family up forever financially, is a douche for trying to maximize that potential. Maybe you are the douche for assuming you know what went on behind closed doors and that O'Reilly is a douche due to the fact that he makes a lot of money because another teams GM decided he valued him enough to offer sheet him.
