This year was a perfect example that the cap is not going to keep rising like it was. I would expect very minimal increases in the future, probably something that slightly outpaces inflation.

I like rumors but... We'll have to wait a little bit to see what GM Bergevin can do with Eller & Subban, then he will know if a trade is needed.

NYR was sending back Zuccarello, Talbot, JT Miller, and McIlrath in addition to a 2nd rd pick.

Now that Zuc is signed, it's sure to come.

I think he still will and thus Colorado will look to trade him before then maybe next summer or the deadline this year if they our out of the playoff(unlikely)

Where did you read 8 years? Only thing I saw about his demands was 1 year 6.75 he was looking for in arbitration
