average of 2.475 mil, I had said yesterday, "Give Kreider $2.25 mil and $2.75 mil for a net AAV of $2.5 mil and call it a day." Pretty darn close to that, so good move by both sides

The Rangers should have about $6.6 million in cap space left to get Brassard and Moore done.

If they strike a deal with Brassard prior to arbitration, I am guessing $4.75 million/3 years.

About 5 for Brassard and 1 for Moore. Plus they will create a little more space cause a few of the guys counting against the cap right now might not be on the roster opening day.

Got to think Brass comes down a bit from 5.5 per, no?

Even if not, $1.1 prob enough to get Moore

I'm glad to say that Sather knows what he's doing. I may be the only that says this...but he had a great offseason IMO

Nice, so thrilled to wake up to seeing Kreider signed for those numbers. Plus he's an RFA at the end and his qualifying amount is $2.6 which sounds well below market when it's time to resign him. I like at Ryan O'Reilly and the mess Colorado is in and say, glad that's not us with some of our RFAs.

I don't think that Brass gets $5.5 million in arbitration, but on the open market next summer, given the low supply of centers, some team may pay him that if he has a good year.

Brass is a curious case for me. When he is going well, he is very good player and I love the way he plays. But, he also has never cleared 50 points, mostly because he has the propensity to disappear at times. At the start of the season last year, he was ineffective for a very large stretch of games. He's going to be a clear Top 6 center now, so can he put up 60 points? He still needs to prove that.

Brass also had lots of injury issues with CBJ. That stunted his point totals a bit. Lucky hes been relatively healthy in his time with the rangers. Hopefully that continues.

Glad they gave Kreider two years and were able to settle before his arbitration. Rounding out this odd off season with an OK up swing.
