when butler is in I think he should be capable of pk.

shatty is a decent puck mover but not pk ready yet. butler has to be ready playing in Calgary for a couple of years.

Do you think Shattenkirk is ready for regular PK duty?

This is one of those instances I have a good read on the player.


Berglund has excellent advance stats over the years. That is why he has not been chased from here. And he still has upside even if he has yet to consistently realize it yet. If his face offs ever improved and he was more consistent.... But consistently he has been inconsistent.

It looks like despite Stewart's inconsistency and weakness in his own end he was missed shortly after we traded him. His depth was a good thing and we needed it.

Thanks for the compliment but I don't even consider myself a blogger. My real job takes up way too many hours, has to much stress, etc. to write as much as I would like......

I agree. As a smaller guy its imperative that he be in good position and use his stick to tie up guys in the crease.

He has all the tools to be a good player but he struggles under pressure too much. It could be something he can improve but I dont think he's much more than a bottom pairing guy.

This is a make or break year for him. If he cant crack the starting lineup consistently this year he's probably gonna have to do it with another team.
