i forget where i heard it, but does anyone know of its true that Ryan is looking to but Spezza's old house? if it is true, that's gotta be a really good thing because there's no way I can see him buying a house that expensive if he doesn't like it here and wants to leave.

When the hockey got serious during the stretch drive we saw the real Leafs. Leafs are not a good team. Defense is not strong. Weak down the middle. Unless Bernier plays outstanding hockey they will give up lots of goals and lose more than they win.

Yeah, i also think playing 4 lines, not 3 may help keep the top line a bit fresher so they can still contribute later in the season. Hopefully, as well, injuries don't rack up with our centres like last year. I can't handle JVR, McClement, Smith and Smithson as our 4 centres again.

The hope now has to be that it still takes them a little while to build a strong possession team and that they get some tough puck luck when it happens. Then the old school guys can say: "See? Things were better when we were getting outshot!" and revert to their old and hilarious ways.

Leafs defense is just as good and just as bad as Ottawas. Both have lots of question marks because we don't know if players are going to pan out. If they do pan out it could be really good, if they don't it will be really bad.

I agree 100%

both groups have the "sure thing" top pairing guy

both groups have a bunch of 4-5-6 guys

and both groups have 2-3 young guys who could go eihter way, and make or break the D.
