Well there's a little difference between Ovechkin at $9M and Yakupov @ $900k
- YouMeAndDupuis9

He has 1 more season at 900k. He most likely will look like Malkin for 1 gm a month, then blend in with Craig Adams the rest of the time. I am willing to bet after this season, there is a 50% chance he bolts for the KHL.

Don't get me wrong, Id take a shot on Hayes because we dont lose assets. But to me, he seems like he has Eric Tangradi written all over him.

Playing well in the OHL and playing well in the NCAA is completely different.

when he wants to use them, yeah but far too often he is a lazy Russian and most likely will be in the KHL soon. OV has speed and a shot but I would want no part of him as well.

Sutter is enticing but we don't need another prospect Dman. Have enough of those coming up.

For sure. I just don't see him being much better than Archibald, Rust, etc we already have.

Again...I would still give him a chance and take a shot on him, no doubt.

We need a centre or top pairing NHL dmen

Sutter + 2nd is not enough for Perron in my opinion.

Honestly don't see a trade happening here.

We would be targeting Eberle, Perron, Yakupov. Can offer you Sutter, Martin, D prospects, and draft picks. Any deal from these players make sense to you? (Martin has limited movement clause, so he may not ok a trade to EDM)

EDM will never trade away anyone, they have inflated values for their entire roster. They keep putting garbage on the ice, but the fans are loyal and will pay a premium for crap.

The Hawks can initiate a bidding war for Hayes knowing full well a team will overpay for an unproven prospect just like teams grossly overpay for marginal to mediocre free agents.

I was on board with Eberle/Perron for James Neal but that ship has sailed

Yak's value is low - no point in trading him

Crosby and Malkin aren't going anywhere, Sutter isn't enough to entice us for any of those wingers. I don't think Martin would be either since he's 33 years old.

don't see a good trade here.

Is Sutter really that bad as a 3rd line center? What's he looking to get on his new deal?

Sorry man but your crazy, Sutter is one of the most dynamic and underrated centers in the entire league; he is phenomenal.
