...and I never understood why Anaheim fans act like its the greatest injustice a franchise has ever experienced. One player in their team's history didn't want to play in California, after how many countless others gave them sweetheart treatment because they wanted to come to SoCal.

I give you a free pass since there is really nothing to write about, but I don't think their contracts are really comparable. Franson having logged 3 more full NHL seasons and having arbitration rights, and 2 years older. Since his 3 year ELC, Franson has had a two year bridge at 800k per, then 3 one year deals at 1.2, 2, and 3.3 million respectively.

Petry was arguably playing better hockey than Schultz when he signed his two year bridge deal, and he only got 1.75 mil per.

If Schultz gets anything more than 3 per on a bridge its a fail IMO. He doesn't really have any negotiating power here and recent contracts like Subban make it too easy to put a limit on the bridge amount. He has some great upside, but were not talking Landers potential here. Cheers
