well the rationale was to give him 4 upfront and 5 in the last year as a lead-in to his next contract.

You said 4 yrs at 3.75 tho. Unless you meant
4 mill, 3mill, 3mill, 5 mill......seems a bit cockamamied.

Huh? Sam Adams might have some good beers, but the 3 or 4 diffrent ones I tried tasted like rotten apricots. (frank) Sam Adams.

We only ship the bad ones to Canada. But in all (frank)ing seriousness, try this:

I initially said 4 years, 15 million and gave the breakdown.

Then saskoil griped about him not being worth 4 and 5 million dollars, and I pointed out that the cap hit would be a reasonable 3.75.

It's not conventional, but it could be enticing for both sides.

I don't like really hoppy beers or IPAs really. I like my beer like I like my women, flavorful and make you drunk pretty nicely.

I agree that they are doing the right thing for the most part. But there is such a thing as overripening. The fact that players like Jurco, who has the potential to be a 20-30 goal scorer at this point, go back down the minors in favor of Daniel Cleary, is absurd.
...
How would you guys like back a former Oiler? He's a great playoff performer.

- YzermanIsTheMan

I get what you are saying and agree with the over ripening, but jurco isn't really fighting for Clearys minutes. He is a top 6 guy. I dont think the PRV treatment helps much. (playing a top 6 guy in a fourth line role) it can hurt their confidence and stunt their development. I dont know the wings line up too well, so I could be off here.

The worst are the west coast cascadia hops. Ways too overpowering. Seattle and Portland love that poop

You're right somewhat. Cleary and Jurco are two guys that Babcock will mix in the bottom three lines.

four years at a cap hit of 3.75 million isn't a terrible deal for a guy like Schultz.

We will be paying more than that for Petry to lock him up long term.

- Morris

Agree but as of today petry is worth it in my mind- and jultz needs a few more years to prove his worth...

I agree. Two year bridge for Jultz should let him showcase his value. Look at how well it worked for PK.

The scary thing about bridge deals is that you can pay him for what he has done as of now (Maybe 3.5 mil) but if he progresses to a top 10 OD, he will not take any sort of a discount. I kinda like the route the oilers took with with Hall/Ebs/Nuge over the Habs strategy with PK. They save cash for two years instead of 8, IMO.

Oh, I never mentioned how crappy it worked out for the Habs. But, from a players perspective, it's his best interest in taking a bridge. It could very well maximize his pay day.

But I'm not saying Jultz is close to the same level as PK.

But the gambit is that if you think Schultz will be worth more than that amount sometime in the next 4 years.

There is a reason you don't drink beer....most of your go-to beers taste like piss.

You gotta avoid the domestic beers....(frank)ing gross. Enjoying Beer is an art, try out a bunch.
