Sutter gets an unfair shake from Pens fans haha. I threw him out there because he is replaceable on our roster now with some of our new signings.
I would give you Sutter and Harrington. Most Pens fans I think would see that as over-payment on our side...but I would do it. - YouMeAndDupuis9
We have like 7 centers on the team already. Sutter doesn't do anything for us. |

If Harrington was a part of it I'd have to consider it, despite our glut of extremely promising defensive prospects. |

Eh for a really strong defensive prospect like Harrington I'd re-purpose Sutter as a 3rd line wing. |

Over Lee? Plus I don't see Snow trading these guys for futures especially on D with so many prospects of our own on the way. |

Nielsen being mentioned as trade bait on here is inconsequential to me because I cannot possibly fathom a realistic scenario in which Snow see's it fit to trade him. Unless the Hawks want to move Seabrook I can't imagine Frans being seriously considered to be on the move.
I could maybe see him being moved next year, in the final year of his incredibly cheap deal. But frankly I'm hoping by then we're buyers at the deadline and not sellers. - eichiefs9
even from the standpoint that he is at his most valuable right now? i can certainly see a deal being done bc of him reaching his peak, and like you said, hes cheap.
it would be a big move but im all for it honestly. |

the issue is that we have too many forwards and too many defensive prospects (issue being that they arent ready)
if isles trade grabner or whoever, its not going to be for a forward. doesnt really take care of the issue at hand. |

Can we have a private meeting before you undermine me during trade negotiations? |

This lack of communication between fake management is unacceptable. I've officially downgraded my fake offer to Bailey instead of Grabner. Please respond accordingly. |

Moved to New York a couple months ago. Trying to learn a thing or two about hockey around here. Didn't know it was a crime |

No crime my friend, but learning about hockey and making fun of what other people are saying on a message board are two different things. Just watch the tone...we are all here to shoot the sh*t about a mutual interest.
...and you distracted us and blew the fake deal that was almost complete haha. |

My thought process is that you guys would be pretty set in your top six without Grabner, and could use a top pairing, minute eating defenseman.
Penguins have a log jam on defense with all the young guys looking to win a spot, and uncertainty in the top 6.
It would be a pure hockey trade. I understand Martin is in essence a full year rental, but if he helps you guys turn it around and make the playoffs, he might be inclined to resign there, especially since you guys can give a big term contract. - cap1681
If the Islanders are going to trade for Dman, I want them to trade many assets for a good-great Dman with term, that will help us in 3 years when our time is "now". |

Pens have a number of blue chip D prospects. That's sort of the direction we were going with the Dumoulin/Harrington for Grabner packages...

So do the Isles. My guess is if the Isles move one or two of their forwards its going to be for a D-man with a couple of years left on his contract |
